Judge Mia was a comedy-drama courtshow web series that originally ran for eleven seasons from November 8, 2011 to June 27, 2013. Fifty-two episodes were produced. The show used stuffed animals to portray the charaters, including a monkey judge, Mama Mia Redford, and the rest of her friends in the fictional city of Yonkers. Earlier seasons of the show focused more on the traditional courtroom setting, while later seasons combined the courtroom with plotlines in Mia's personal life.
Judge Mia was revolutionary in its genre, enjoying overwhelmingly positive reviews for most of its existence. After establishing the Miaverse, the show paved the way for several spinoffs and companion series.
