Banana Village was a small unincorporated community across the river from Monkeytown. Although not within the city limits of Monkeytown proper, Banana Village was commonly considered a district of the city. The village was surrounded by banana farms. The bananas are brought to market in the village, or exported via the railroad or a river barge.
